Related information about Clive Heritage-Tilley

I don’t make images, just take them. All the images on this website originate from the physical integrity of film and have been taken over a number of years in a variety of locations. All of my images have been taken using a 35mm camera with a standard 50mm lens. In my approach to photography, I prefer to maintain a consistency and simplicity of method. I enjoy just walking around with my camera and photographing anything I think makes up an interesting composition within the aspect ratio of the viewfinder. The tonal relationship is very important in the overall balance of the composition and I try to strike a balance between framing and timing.

“The contemplation of things as they are, without error or confusion, without substitution or imposture, is in itself a nobler thing than a whole harvest of invention”
